I live in the southern coastal region and don't get many opportunties to travel inland and north. However, when I do I will be bringing along the camera so I can better represent the beauty of the entire state.

I have been a gardener since my mother and grandmothers' first started me off by helping them weed in their wonderful gardens. I haven't met a flower yet that I didn't want to photograph. Here is a sampling of the better ones.

Western New York (98)
Here are a few photographs from around my hometown/home state. As I return for more visits, I will add more content to the page. It is a very beautiful, yet in many ways, desolate area. I wanted to capture some of the beauty and reality of the landscape. The economy has never been strong there, and some of the buildings you see reflect that.

Memorial to our Diva (79)
Wanda (aka Saffron Star, Whitey, Wandy, Her Whiteness, Missy,The Diva) passed over the Rainbow Bridge on November 27, 2010. She came to live with us in July, 2002 having just turned 5 on the 1st day of summer. She was always a "sun dog", never mattered how hot or cold it was - she loved being outdoors. She also loved people and people loved her back, just as she expected. She would present a "perfect stack" on the beach and watch the people walking by to make sure that they were admiring her.

Her show dog career was short, but she was well known for going off into "Wandaland" while in the ring, much to the delight of the crowd.

In spite of her deafness, heart troubles and many other health issues, she loved life until the end. Her world became much smaller as her walk times shortened, but she still loved going on them. She will be missed forever in our home. Goodbye dear girlfriend!

Memorial to a dear friend (72)
Buddy (aka Philgin Falstaff, Bear, Bud Bud, Mr. Buddy, Buggy) passed over the Rainbow Bridge on July 27, 2009.

He came to live with us in July, 2002 at the ripe old age of 8. He was such a wonderful dog - full of life, ready to go for a walk at the drop of a leash and always ready to greet and play with any other dog or animal that he met. He was a dog's dog for sure.

He and Wanda became friends within days after we adopted them both within 1 day of each other. As the years have gone by, they have become more like brother and sister, as you can see from the photos of them together.

He was my shadow constantly, even in these past few months when his arthritis made it so hard for him to walk. He has left a huge hole in our hearts, softened a little by all of the wonderful times that we shared with our dear boy.

He lived many places before coming find his forever home in Maine. We are grateful to have shared so much with him. Thank you for helping us remember him.
